Consultation and proposal to establish a COA Work Group for a Survey Photograph Standard
The Container Owners Association (COA) held its “Survey Photograph Standard” Webinar on Tuesday 10 February 2026, bringing together COA Members to consider the development of a potential COA Industry Standard for Container Survey Photographs.
The webinar provided a forum for consultation with Members and explored the possible establishment of a COA Work Group to take this work forward.
Background Information
At a recent COA Board meeting, Board Members proposed the creation of a COA Industry Standard for Container Survey Photographs.
The webinar sought opinions and feedback from COA Members on current issues associated with survey photographs, and on the aspects that should be addressed if a formal standard is developed.

Based on the feedback received during the webinar, COA will consider the formation of a dedicated Work Group to progress the development of a standard.
Open Forum Discussion
The webinar was run as an Open Forum, moderated by COA, allowing Members to propose and discuss initial issues relevant to the creation of a survey photograph standard for the container industry.
