A reminder that the Container Owners Association Annual Members Meeting will take place on Monday 9 November 2026, at the Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam, the day before Intermodal Europe 2026.
The meeting provides an important opportunity for COA Members and industry colleagues to meet, network and discuss key developments, technical projects and challenges facing the container industry.

Conference Programme – Key Topics
The afternoon conference will feature presentations and discussions covering:
- Artificial Intelligence and Container M&R – Practical applications of AI, container damage assessment and the COA TG-10 Photographic Standard.
- Digitalisation and Data Standards – Updates on COA CEDEX Syntax, the Reefer Telematics Unified Data Model (UDM) and the Digital Twin Project.
- Container Coatings – Results of the COA Container Coatings Survey and innovations in coatings technology.
- Refrigeration and Sustainability – The potential impact of PFAS regulations, new reefer strategies and progress with the Greener Reefers initiative.
- Industry Standards and Smart Containers – Updates on ISO TC 104, smart container standards and IMO work on containers lost at sea.
- IPPC Developments – Latest work relating to container logistics and container design.
The programme includes contributions from industry specialists representing shipping lines, technology providers and international standards organisations.

COA Reefer Telematics Work Group Meeting – Monday 9 November
The COA will hold a meeting of the Reefer Telematics Unified Data Model Work Group in Rotterdam on Monday 9 November, from 11:00 to 13:00. The Agenda will include:
- Future management and governance of the COA Reefer Telematics UDM
- The introduction of the EU Cyber Resilience Act and its potential impact on reefer telematics systems and industry stakeholders
