Environment under Spotlight at 6th COA Members Meeting

“Containers and the Environment” was the principal theme of the COA’s 6th Members Meeting, which took place in Shanghai on Monday 16 June 2008. Over 180 delegates participated in the conference.

A full session was devoted to progress in the development of “environmentally-friendly” containers, including

Flooring: finding alternatives to tropical hardwoods
Refrigeration machinery and reefer containers: reducing the environmental impact
Container paints: reducing solvent emissions
In addition to the sessions on the environment, the 6th COA Members Meeting included reports on other COA activities, including:
